What We Believe

Our Faith. Our Foundation. Our Fire.

At The Tabernacle NYC, we are a Spirit-filled, Bible-believing church committed to preaching the uncompromised Word of God with power, truth, and love. Our beliefs are rooted in Scripture and centered on Jesus Christ—the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

We believe that the church is not just a building, but a living, breathing movement of God’s people, called to demonstrate His power in the earth through faith, holiness, and compassion.

The Bible — God’s Inspired Word

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16–17). It is the final rule for faith and conduct, revealing God’s nature, His will for humanity, and the path to eternal life.

The Trinity — One God in Three Persons

We believe in one true and living God—eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). They are equal in power, glory, and authority, yet distinct in operation and purpose.

Jesus Christ — The Son of God

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, fully God and fully man (John 1:1–14). He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and now reigns at the right hand of the Father as our Savior and soon-coming King.

Salvation — By Grace Through Faith

We believe that salvation is a gift from God, received only through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8–9). Through His blood, we are redeemed, forgiven, and reconciled to God. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

The Holy Spirit — Our Helper and Power Source

We believe in the baptism, indwelling, and empowerment of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8). The Holy Spirit equips believers with spiritual gifts, produces fruit in our lives, and enables us to live victoriously and minister effectively.

The Church — The Body of Christ

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers (1 Corinthians 12:12–27). We are called to fellowship, worship, discipleship, service, and evangelism—to bring hope and transformation to our world through the love and power of God.

Water Baptism & Holy Communion

We believe water baptism by immersion is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19). We also believe in the sacred act of Holy Communion as a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice and a celebration of His covenant (1 Corinthians 11:23–26).

Divine Healing and Deliverance

We believe that healing—spirit, soul, and body—is provided through the finished work of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 53:5, James 5:14–16). Deliverance from bondage is the children’s bread, and we walk in the authority of the name of Jesus to set captives free.

Holiness and Sanctification

We believe God calls every believer to a life of holiness, separation from sin, and transformation by the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 4:3–7). We pursue purity in heart, mind, and action as we reflect the character of Christ in the world.

The Second Coming of Christ

We believe in the blessed hope—the imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17). He will return to gather His Church, judge the nations, and establish His eternal kingdom of righteousness and peace.

Marriage and Family

We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman as defined by Scripture (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6). The family is God’s first institution, designed for love, unity, and the nurturing of faith across generations.

The Great Commission

We believe every believer is called to share the gospel and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18–20). At The Tabernacle NYC, we are committed to reaching the lost, equipping the saints, and transforming cities by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our Declaration of Faith

We are a people of the Word.
We are a people of prayer.
We are a people of power.
We believe that revival is now—and the glory of the latter house shall be greater than the former! (Haggai 2:9)
